How Reiki & Mediumship Support My Doula Work

A story of healing, connection, and the power of showing up.  

She came to me during a miscarriage.

We started with Reiki — something gentle to support her through a difficult time.

During that session, I sensed the presence of an older man.

I described what I saw.

She identified him as her grandfather — holding a baby wrapped in blue.

I shared the impressions that came through — messages of love and support.

She continued with Reiki throughout her journey to pregnancy.

Each session offered its own rhythm — sometimes quiet, sometimes filled with

imagery or messages that felt connected to her path.

There were times I’d see her in vivid scenes —

her planting in a garden, with children playing nearby.

I’d share these images when they came through.

With time she became pregnant.

In one session, I sensed a strong grandmother presence.

I shared what came up — messages of strength, pride, and encouragement

from women before her.

As her due date approached, she reached out when needed.

We used Reiki, talked through questions, and created space for her to prepare

in her own way.

Her labor was powerful.

7.5 hours later, she met her baby.

She moved with confidence, asked for what she needed.

Her partner's excitement and support flowing.

It was beautiful to witness.

Every birth is powerful.

C-section, unmedicated, epidural — none of it defines your worth.

What matters is that you showed up with heart, strength, and presence. That’s

power.

You’re never doing this alone.

You’re supported — by your body, your instincts, your people (seen and

unseen).
