A Monday Morning Reflection

Noticing a connection I hadn’t made before.

I joined a group call about

the nervous system and money.

(I was invited by my hairdresser 🤍)

I volunteered to be an example.

I was asked something along the lines of:

What block or cycle are you noticing right now (around money)?

It was a no brainer - social media.

I see it as a way to bring in clients,

yet it’s also a big stressor for me.

Wanting to share…

But not liking being here for the stress it brings up

and the second-guessing.

When I was guided to feel into that,

I was taken back to childhood.

A little girl sitting on a hill at recess,

watching the playground.

Grateful for my best friend beside me.

I was shy. Quiet. Introverted.

Often picked last -

not because I wasn’t capable,

but because I wasn’t part of the group.

I didn’t like putting myself out there.

I worried about being judged or not good enough,

second-guessing what I wanted.

Being picked last HURT.

Those feelings apparently stayed with me.

Thirty years later,

I notice it again.

Wanting to put myself out there,

unsure of how I will be seen or judged.

I didn’t expect this to show up during a learning opportunity - on house cleaning day.

I’m choosing to stay with it,

as suggested,

and see what shifts 🤍
